Minneapolis, MN - The Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) announces the Call for Papers for the 2011 Pan Pacific Microelectronics Symposium, which will be held January 18-20, 2011 on the Big Island of Hawaii. The symposium focuses on the critical business markets and technologies of microelectronic packaging, interconnection, microsystems technology and assembly. The deadline for abstracts is July 16, 2010.

The Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) announced today that the Atlanta SMTA Expo would return to the Gwinnett Civic Center in Duluth, Georgia for its 15th annual event on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The SMTA announced that the renamed Lead-Free Soldering Technology Symposium will be held on October 20, 2011 as a focused symposium at SMTA International in Ft. Worth, TX. The scope of this year's symposium is the reliability of interconnections, particularly those studied in the second phase of the NASA-DoD Pb-Free Consortium project.
