It's not difficult today to find articles and blogs written about green initiatives around the world, and more so about some non-governmental organizations (NGOs), that elicit strong opinions from electronics manufacturers. According to IPC’s Director of Environmental Policy Fern Abrams, the issue isn't that the industry does not support green initiatives, but rather that some of these initiatives give the appearance of helping the environment when they ultimately do not. Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson company (NASDAQ: NDSN) announces the sale of two Spectrum™ II S2-922 in-line dispensing systems to GN ReSound, one of the world's largest manufacturers of hearing healthcare solutions. GN ReSound, based in Ballerup, Denmark with production facilities in Præstø, Denmark, presently has an installed base of off-line Nordson ASYMTEK coating systems and Axiom™ X-1000 dispensers. Don Dupriest, Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, has been elected chair of the IPC Technical Activities Executive Committee (TAEC) for a two-year term. Dupriest succeeds Chris Mahanna of Robisan Laboratory, Inc., who held the role for IPC's top standards development oversight committee for the past two years.

IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries® reports that 85 percent of exhibit floor space has been sold for IPC APEX EXPO® 2019. Three hundred twenty-seven exhibitors have been assigned to 134,200 net square feet of exhibit space, marking a 5 percent increase in square footage compared to 2018’s booth space selection event. The premier technical conference and exhibition for the electronics manufacturing industry will take place January 29–31, 2019, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif.
