IPC has released the A revision of IPC-2222, Sectional Design Standard for Rigid Organic Printed Boards. World printed circuit board (PCB) production reached an estimated $58.2 billion in 2016, up 2.2 percent in real terms, while North American PCB production decreased a mere 0.1 percent, according to IPC’s newly published World PCB Production Report for the Year 2016. The North American PCB market also continued its downward trend, but at a slowing rate of just -1.7 percent in 2016, based on data published this week in IPC’s 2017 Annual Report on the North American PCB Industry.

The world market for printed circuit boards (PCBs) reached an estimated $58.6 billion in value in 2015 according to IPC’s World PCB Production Report for the Year 2015. This represents a nominal decrease of 2.7 percent from 2014, but factoring out the effects of exchange rate fluctuations, the growth of PCB output was actually up 2.0 percent in real terms.
