IPC's Validation Services Program has awarded an IPC/WHMA-A-620 Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) Class 2, to MarVac Assemblies, a value-added division of Marsh Electronics, Inc., located in Milwaukee, Wis. Following an initial audit by IPC, MarVac Assemblies becomes one of the IPC trusted sources and suppliers meeting the stringent requirements of the Qualified Manufacturing Listing (QML) based on one of IPC's foremost standards: IPC/WHMA-A-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.

IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries®, is announcing an ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Control certification course for electronics assembly trainers and operators. The courses and certifications will be delivered on the IPC learning management system, IPC EDGE. Together with the EOS/ESD Association, Inc., IPC has developed these standardized ESD training and certification courses for the electronics industry to train operators and trainers on ESD controls and best practices. This online ESD Certification Program allows users to validate their knowledge and skills by passing an exam on ESD principles. For trainers, the ESD certification course was developed with an advanced training program to train instructors, thereby providing the necessary knowledge to help develop an effective ESD training program.

IPC's Validation Services Program is proud to announce that Zentech Manufacturing, Inc. has become the first company to be recertified to the IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum QML program. Zentech Manufacturing, Inc. achieved the QML certification three years ago and this year successfully demonstrated the Class 3 level work required for recertification. Not only did Zentech Manufacturing, Inc. become recertified, their wholly owned subsidiary, Colonial Assembly and Design LLC, added the QML certification for IPC/WHMA-A-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies, at the class 3 level.
