California Chapters of IPC and SMTA Host Annual Golf Get-Together

Combining fun in the sun with philanthropy, IPC California and the Los Angeles and Orange County Chapters of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) held their 11th Annual Golf Event on August 16, 2010. More than 100 banquet attendees and 86 golfers enjoyed a warm summer day at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California. The two organizations expect to donate more than $2000 from the proceeds to a local charity.

IPC Announces Results of the IPC Rework Experience Competition at SMT Hybrid Packaging International Exhibition and Conference 2016

The first ever Rework Experience Competition was held at this year’s SMT Hybrid Packaging international exhibition and conference. This competition tested competitor’s skills in reworking a finished printed circuit board. There were seven total competitors and all seven successfully completed the challenge. Ljupce Talevski, from Aluwave AB took first place. In second place was Ekatarina Stahlmann from Grundig Business Syst. Coming in third place was Conny Hielscher from Grundig Business Syst.

Nordson ASYMTEK introduces the new Helios™ SD-960 Series Automated Dispensing System for medium and bulk volume deposits of single- (1K) and two-component (2K) materials in electronics manufacturing and printed circuit board assembly. The Helios system is ideal to deposit volumes greater than 1cc, and line widths and dots that exceed 1mm, but it can deposit volumes down to 0.3cc and line widths as narrow as 0.3mm. The system supports highly abrasive thermal interface materials (TIM), silicones, epoxies, and grease for applications such as potting, sealing, gasketing, and structural adhesives.
