COT announces new Knurled Hex Keys from PB Swiss Tools

Count On Tools is pleased to announce that PB Swiss Tools now offers knurled hex keys as a standard option in their product catalog. The knurling at the shaft increases the non-slip property in wet or oily environments, thereby increasing the safety. The round shaft, manufactured from PB Tools’ unique steel alloy guarantees higher reverse fatigue strength. The new knurled hex keys from PB Swiss Tools is available in sizes 1.5mm –10mm as individual hex key l-wrenches or as a set in a handy plastic holder.

IPC's draft version of IPC-1402, Standard for Green Cleaners Used in Electronics Manufacturing, is now open for public review. The draft standard has been progressing through the standards process since fall of 2021 and, despite some minor delays in the draft development timelines – delays are common during consensus-based standards development processes – the draft is now ready for public review through July 15, 2022.

On September 25, representatives from prominent automotive and rail original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers met in Frankfurt, Germany to launch the IPC Transportation Electronics Reliability Council (ITERC). The inaugural group included key technologists with core expertise in electronic hardware development, manufacturing technology, PCB design, quality, and environmental reliability. The council was partly developed in response to positive encouragement from IPC members and automotive industry leaders, who had attended IPC’s debut Automotive Electronics Reliability Forum in Nuremberg earlier this year in June.
