Can we bent a PCB using mechanical force ?Will the PCB come back to original condition or it will be bent forever after the mechanical force is removed from the pcb?

It would kill the component on the opposite side, be careful to bent a PCB especially with component installed. Be sure the bent warpage is no higher than the component permitted or not high to cause de-lamination.

This issue is seen at mechanical process. The pcb is thin 32 mils. Can we bent it just by using mechanical force without the heat?or the pcb will break if the force is high instead of becoming bent at one corner..

Thanks Steve. The bent we are seeing is at the location without any component .It is a small and long pcb,one side fully loaded with component .Thebother side got no component. We can manually bend the pcb at the side without the component. All the la

Look up the glass transition temperature (Tg) for the PCB material. If you get the PCB above this temperature it will become quite soft. If it is a populated board remember to take any moisture sensitive devices on it into consideration.

If you are trying to remove/reduce warpage in the PCB (I am presuming) place in heated environment (170 F) for 24 hrs with weight on it to keep it flat. Has helped us in the past.

You really need to define what you mean when you say "bend" and when you say "break". You might have zero damage to a bare board but cracked solder joints and ceramic caps on an assembly, given the same amount of bending or stress. It all depends on

Bend it for mounting,if it can't be mounted by bending assembly. you can choose other pick and place machine which can handle this flex pcb. How long is this flex board? And do you use jigs when reflow? Could you please send a picture of the jig yo

Claire, my suggestion is different from BentePCB & Pavel Murtishev. Although 500pcs cannot be considered as a mass production order, it's too larger to be placed as a prototype order. And I think the PCB quality & performance is very important, you c

Our company is going to use BGA(1.27mm pitch) But I have heard of troubles with P-BGA. It is that cracks occured between solderball and gold plating of PCB during ICT(incircuit test). We know that gold plating of PWB is not good for BGA, so we decide
