PCB oxidation

Hello, I am having a problem with HASL PCB's after it comes back from the stuffer. To me it looks like oxidation and it causes poor wetting. This leads to a bunch of problems all of which have different symptoms but the cause is this oxidation proble

we are manufacturer of molded type transformer. we have a trim and form process and its damage the pins of our units. the TIN insulation was being damage so we decide to immediately solder (wave soldering) the units to avoid oxidation. my question is

That could lead to oxidation of the leads and worsen solderability. It's much better to make sure the components are handled properly and not exposed to moisture. The reason for baking is moisture in the body not in the leads. Why is no one suggest

A little adition to Norm's statement: Sn-Pb intermettalic compounds do not accept solder as they are (even without being oxidized).

LONG TERM Your plans to buy a vaccuum bag resealer and a batch drying oven sound good as you say, but youre correct. They will not help with this current situation. SHORT TERM If your connections are clean, free of pits and holes with a smooth,

We have some BGA's that don't solder very well. They weren't properly stored in regards to moisture protection. The balls look dull and rough. After reflow there seemed to be a diffinate line between the balls and the solder on the PCB's. I think

Hi Russ, yes, I did get the homeplate info, thanks. Thought that it looks that way, only didnt know how to deal with that expression. Now your problem: its hard to tell without seeing it actually. All I wonder is this 80sec above liquidous, at what
