Differences between screen and stencil printing

Electronics Forum | Thu Dec 16 15:00:20 EST 2004 | glaucon

Simple differences. Both processes require a very similar machine platform, controlled motion, vision fiducial recognition and alignment of a substrate (PCB or hybrid ceramic) to the "image", the image being either a stencil (hence stencil printing)

Hi, I need some urgent informations on stencil design guidelines on how to perform epoxy printing on 0603 and 0402 components. Could anyone help? ( Reflow process is not possible because of some other constriants) Secondly, I need also facing a lo

Solder volume range for printing process

Hi, all, I have done an analysis through Statistics on solder volume whose purpose is to identify the required volume for different pitch printing (0.65 or above, 0.50, and 0.40 mm). Finally, came out a regression model. But, I need to evalua

So, you need to know how these reductions in solder volume will perform in real life. In-use of the product in the life environment is the surest test. Many companies cant wait / dont want to pay for that information. * Some use accelerated life

Volume and average height of solder paste after printing machine

Is that accurate? If so, what are your aspect & area ratios? [Similar to the JerryS comment above.] * You say, and the average height is very high: nearly 200 pct. => Our troop can make paste that height too. They snap the stencil-off a fast as

The whole process counldn't be easier. The sales reps' try to turn the whole thing into some crazy black art-its not. The stencil supplier will have their own standard 'glue dot' configurations, and 9 times out of 10 these are more than adequate. As

Printing with adhesives is no big deal so don't let the sales types try to mystify the process and convince you that they have the only stencils/adhesives/knowledge that can possibly get you through this "trying time" - at a price. Start with 0.010"
