designers. Re land pattern design and naming: The footprint calculator seems to assume that there will always be just one data sheet from which the component dimensions are transcribed - and the naming allows us to identify THE manufacturer. i.e. single sourcing

that adopted the metric unit system and that task was impossible. I submitted 50 different job applications into companies looking to hire PCB designers but all of them were using the Imperial unit system
