does anyone knows how to calculate a correct fluxer traverse speed if given a spray width, pcb width & length and wave conveyor speed? thanks

I never calculate it when I setup a profile...I have a feel for our fluxer setting and adjust based on belt speed and width. I also have different nozzles and a pressure setting to play with. Inspect the bottom of the board for good coverage. Runn

| I am getting ready to purchase a spray fluxing system for a no-clean process. I have narrowed it down to the Nordson or Dover system. Does anyone have any experience with either. If so can you relate with me. I am a little leary of the Nordson

Fixed spray head performance depends on board width. If you are looking for complete top-side hole fill, the flux penetration into the lead-hole will be more in the center and less on the ends because of the fan pattern spray. For board widths over 6

Here's a stab at it... Decide on how much overlap you need for your spray pattern and calculate your effective spray width. 4" spray with 25% overlap would be 3". Keep your units the same (unit lengths and unit length per unit time). Assumes your

Dave, USI makes spray fluxers with stepper motor and servo motor controlled traverse heads that only spray on the board. Virtually no waste going up the stack. www.ultraspray.com

Anyone know of a place to get the vacuum pads for the traverser of the LCS units? Assembleon want over $100 each for a ring of ESD foam! ! ! ! If I can't find a reasonable source I guess I will try to make them myself. James jseagle@zworld.com

We don't know of a calculation, but we run ours as fast as we can while still getting good hole fill.
