Shadow cure effects are dealt with by post cure mechanisims. New UV Coatings should have one, either heat or moisture cure. Basically UV primary cure starts off cure process, allows handling of the products. But UV is not suitable for all products

Hi sforman1, The chemical that i'm using is a solvent based coating humiseal 1B73. From my understanding, the UV curing is mainly for UV curable coating like the UV40. And the main advantage of using UV curing is for fast throughput and environment

Fusion makes UV ovens. Most conformal coating suppliers have a UV line. Great for quick cures, but the ovens interfered with our automated guided vehicles, so we had to abandon the UV.

Also be sure you know your material, as UV wave length will play a factor in your curing.

Hi, Option 3 is quite often used, while it is better to glue with uv glue using uv lamps for curing. For this process, two inverters are needed in the line, a dispenser for UV glue and a UV lamp (eg metronelec UV CURE OVEN). It is better to use prefo

There's some nice low-VOC uV coatings out there. We dont use uV cured coatings, but try: * http://www.emersoncuming.com * http://www.dymax.com * http://www.mgchemicals.com * http://www.loctite.com * http://www.humiseal.com Be aware that uV co

You're correct, uV costs 1.7X solvent-based silicone. This high purchased material cost is counter balanced by uV requiring lower thickness due to higher solids and that 60 to 80% of a solvent coating is volitile and goes up the pipe between applicat
