Does anyone use the side cameras on the YesTech or Mirtec AOI systems? If so, how are you using them? Automated side inspection or as a tool to manually evaluate calls? Thanks James

Hi, we do stepper motor assembly, and "use" both methodes; coil is selective soldered before entering line and then coils & I/O connector are soldered to PCB with robot (in many points also manual soldering) regards Dominik

I hope this isn't a silly question but... isn't there a way to manually override when a fiducial fails vision? I can't imagine a machine that would be available without this basic feature. Greg

Hey gregp, I am not aware of any way to manually override a bad fiducial on a Panasonic MV2VB or MV2C.

Don't worry about the paste print. Just omit it from the stencil. Mask over all the SMT components after reflow with water washable WSOL masking. Then run it thru the wave to deposit the solder. Then wash to remove masking. Or you could manually run

We also used color coding of bins, along with a picture of where to put the part on the PCB. Also split up parts that look similar (to seperate work stations) when possible. good luck
