Hi All, Recently, I need to deal with a customer complaint that specify the PCBA white residue (flux residue from ecofree 303) may be the reason why the board intermittent. Anyone have such experience with this flux? Anyone can tell me is this flux

We're just now getting into 0201s and I'm wondering how people are doing rework. Is hand soldering still viable or is some type of semi-automated repair station needed?

Are there solering iron tips for that size component? The C shape end ones. That might be even easier than cutting them first. I would think hand repair is going to be better than a semi-automated repair station for a while.

We use precision tweezers to rework 0402 (OKI MFR-PTZ) not tried with 0201, but it may be a solution. The tweezers themselves have the heating element built in.

Hi Jack, we have in our comapany My15 and MY9. Both machines we programming almost daily only in excell. First manually, second with excell macro. Both alternative are almost camparable. It´s depending on amount of SMD parts and skills. Radek

Also check with the Valor guys they support Mydata from simple outputs to full optimisation/part generation etc. But if your budget limited then maybe not best fit...but best to chat to them and see if can squeeze abit !!!

Many thanks for the reply. However, surely because it's under 100 degrees, the moisture won't actually reach boiling point. Is this ok?
