We have an SPM with manual vision. Its the best manual printer we have ever had. I believe you can get one used for around 10K. If you buy a realy old one, make sure it has the air table lock!!! I think they only made a few that didnt.

I'd check around for a wire solder that doesn't leave as much residue behind or a "clearer" residue behind. Or tell your customer you can save them a few bucks by just soldering a few points on the lid (since it's a air tight seal).

I would measure the voltage on the yellow wire going to the air pressure sensor. Are you getting 24VDC? If so, maybe replace the input DC module on IO card #2. I think it is IDC module 8 on that board. Try not to have too many violent thoughts.
