Sould anyone explain me pros and cons of stencil and screen printing and the advantages of using a screen printing over stencil printing

Agree with Davef. Smaller the chip, more the static charge. I used to see this even with normal chips. Get an ionizer blow. It should solve your problem. May be switch to antistatic tape if affordable.Regards. GV

Thanks for your help. We try the de-ionizer fan, helps some what but did not eliminate the problem. Can you tell me which model are you guys using.

im running some tests at the moment for hand soldering using a no residue water based flux from MBO, called WBF-01. leaves a good clean finish.

Yes, unfortunately it is the PEC camera which checks Fids and is used for Feeder Teach. I have found that you do need a service check before you can register with UIC. Do you have access to their database still? Thank you

We've used both effectively to resolve this issue. Check with your stencil manufacturer. Often, they can give you a very good starting place on issues like this since they see everyone's designs. John S.

Check the nozzle. If these are the only two parts on the board that use a specific nozzle, it's a good place to start. The nozzle is probably not releasing well and shifting the component when trying to retract after placement...
