Sure, you can use X7R dielectric ceramic capacitors on mixed technology boards. You need to be aware of the limitations and design and control your process appropriately. Continuing: * BIG cracks show as hard failures * Small cracks show as a leakag

Depending on the material, the etching can damage the dielectric. This can be manufactured but is difficult and expensive. Copper plating and other processes that require agitation are almost impossible.

The adhesive should be a dielectric (insulator) by design, if not it could possibly short across leads of the very parts it's intended to secure. It normally isn't a concern - what is the surface resistance of your soldermask, bodies of ICs, ...etc.

A couple of things: Does the cap break if you try to remove it with hot air? If not, than you are breaking the caps do to mechanical stress. We have had similar issues. I don't think your board is suffering from mechanical stress from depaneling o

We have tried using pookie to form an air tight seal on top of the connectors without success. We have tried filling the connector with dielectric grease with some success. Havent found any info on 1-2577 in gel form. Has anyone found this product

Definition: Pink Ring - A condition that can exist in multilayer printed circuit or wiring boards, in which the oxide around a through-hole inner layer interface is chemically removed, and there is a lack of adhesion of the inner layer to the dielec

I know DEK is selling some dielectric cleaning liquid that is 20 times more expensive than alcohol. You should put this liquid on your stencil cleaner.

Here is some more information: "Moisture can increase the dielectric constant, leading to changes in impedance, switching speeds and propagation delay times. " I am not sure if you can accurately measure any of these on your assembly but it looks li
