I have been trying to get the fid recognition to work on the Universal 4785 chipshooter but keep coming up with errors. If anyone has any experience using fids on this machine and can give me some pointers please drop me a line... thank you greg

The black fid is a routing hole that I am trying to use for a fid. The board house did not manufacture any fids for the board I am building. This is becoming more frequent in the boards I am recieving. M.L. Feather

I have an issue with CP4 seeing FIDs but not correcting placement according to new skew angles. Fids in the sequence are linked accordingly. I suspect, it has something to do with the inspection method of the FIDs. SCAN or LEVEL Any Thoughts?

Hi Dane, if with "dome" is meant the irregularity of a HASL finish than we had a lot of problems especially like Dean mentioned with finepitch parts and circular fids. It ended up with cleaning the fids with erasers before using the boards. Later we

We've done many fine pitch parts using only global board fids with good results. However, if you're working with flex or flex/rigid designs, I would never use global or panel fids for fome pitch placement. We always request addition of local fids u

To clean up other replys I will add that some most all machines have global correction. Most placements are an off sets from pcb 0,0 usually the lower left corner of the board. When the machine locates the fiduitals and these fids are not exactly whe

Hi, I have had similar issues. First as the above replies suggest pcb fids are better than panel scrap fids, even if you have to use fids under QFP's just palce those parts last. If your machine has board skip. Place 1-2 QFP's on pcb # 1 and check

Oh Yeah, I've had an AP27 I would say it just doesn't like your fid. Just click on the window in the bottom left and it'll go full screen (then click main menu to return). Check the easy stuff first, Make sure you have a consistant load (in the cente

Yes, when teaching fids and you get to the screen shows your fid (either board or stencil), hit the middle "roller button" labeled NEXT. This will toggle your bulb from regular to bright and vice/versa. If it's still very bright, the bulb itself ma
