Does anyone have any insight/experience with the Quad QCR942 reflow oven ? We've been offered one at a bargain price but are apprehensive about it being listed as only a 4 zone system. Cheers

Passwords for the ZCR / QCR did change with the version of S/W. I believe that from version 2.9 onwards the password to start the S/W from the DOS prompt is "quad" [all lower case]. Pre version 2.9 please type "zcr" [All lower case]. This will enable

I am charged with maintaining two ZCR/QUAD reflow ovens and one has a problem I have not come across before.... Upon startup it displays the message "CRITICAL TEMPERATURE" but the eight zones are at ambient, the set temperatures being 315°C to 400°C.

According to Quad data sheet, the max process temp on a ZCR oven is 310C. I am taking a guess that the "Critical Temperature" message may be Quad's way of saying that you have entered to high of a setting. Try bringing the setpoints to something belo

I am sure you can reflow lead free in any oven but i thought i read that lead free requires a cooling stage to get the solder joints reflowed "correctly".
