In real terms the temperature compatibility is the real issue. Yes a component can and in most case will cover the paste. The component standoffs must prevent the body contacting the paste to prevent solderballing. Bob Just back from dinner, my mum

Can anyone tell me what a reasonable real world percentage would be for tact time on SMT machines. If I have a machine rated at 14,400CPH what would be real world, 85%, 75%? Thanks

UP1500 was not a real MPM machine, so not relevant. UP1500 was an SMTech (UK) machine, different sofware, camera, etc.... than an MPM machine. AccuFlex is now real MPM.

Ron, I'm not sure what you are trying to get here. If you want a real price you need to submit RFQ's to some CM's to get real price. As mentioned there are many variables to account for and no single number works across the board. -Jerry
