Hi, Cool, and thanks for the info. Can you email us with the costs? I checked out your web site and the lowest cost unit should do the trick for the next year or so. Please email grantpetty@blackmagic-design.com Regards, Grant

Hi, Can you guys cascade the line, with a board flipper, printer, placer and oven all in the same line, so you can do both sides in the same pass? The product then leaves the line finished. Regards, Grant

Hi, Yes it costs more, but would get full speed production. We design our own products, so can fit them to manufacturing which is nice. Currently that means no underside components at all! Regards, Grant

Hi, I have always wondered how contract SMT assemblers work out the cost to build products. Do they calculate machine time, or cost per placement etc? Regards, Grant

Hi, I guess it matters a lot how fast you can change over the machines, then it becomes more cost per placement I guess. I have heard oursourcing companies purchase most of the parts, and I guess there is a lot of money to be made on that. Regards,

Hi, The 8mm versions do change fast, but the 12 and 16mm versions jam all the time, and MYDATA has no fix for it, as apparently no one else is having that problem. Regards, Grant

Hi, If you mechanically center, then you cannot use the HYDRA head, so you only place one 0201 at a time. That's not a great solution, so you need the MYDATA to be stable with vision. I think whichever machine has better vision would be the choice.

Hi Grant, You'll need to move the nozzle changer on your machine if you want to run very big boards, it comes out quite easily. (It's single track & not set up for RAM or PTIF, no shuttle & standard handling) Cheers, Rob.
