FLAT LUG LEADS (USBS & SOD123 DIODES) - TOE WETTING

Electronics Forum | Mon Jul 31 03:50:26 EDT 2023 | calebcsmt

Is below the correct interpretation of IPC 610/JSTD requirements for FLAT LUG LEADS (seen on USBs and Diodes mainly) For class 1 or 2, no toe wetting would be required as minimum side joint is only 'evident wetting' and no actual length or fillet he

Silver Sulphide Contamination of Resistors

Electronics Forum | Wed Feb 21 11:25:04 EST 2001 | Dave E

We have had a problem with some resistors on some conformally-coated boards which, after a few months in the field, started going bad -- a real worst-case situation. The resistors would increase in value dramatically and sometimes develop diode-like

Component orientation into the reels

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 01 16:58:05 EST 2001 | davef

Last time we looked at this, JEDEC carefully designated the dimensions of the carriers, but "neglected" to define the component orientation with the carrier. Go to http://www.jedec.org/download/, search for JEP95 JEDEC REGISTERED AND STANDARD OUTL

Adding leads to leadless parts

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 17 18:24:39 EST 1999 | Clarissa L. Ortner

We have a new program that is going to require us to add many leads to presently leadless parts. It isn't preferred by we are up against the wall. We will be doing mostly passive caps, resistors and diodes and some LCC's as well. Is there any one

flashing LEDs circuit

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 26 20:49:09 EST 1998 | Pedro Pellegrini

We are from Brazil and looking for a special kind of microchips: Encapsulated microchip, battery operated, that drive 1 or 2 LEDs (light emissor diode) to blink (JUST AN OSCILATOR). (like the ones used in promotional musical CD box). we need, under s

charging batterys via solar

Electronics Forum | Sat Jan 26 08:44:39 EST 2002 | Bigballs

What would happen if a 2 volt solar cell was hooked through a diode into to a 3.6 volt nicad (3xAA)? would it charge it at all? just a bit but never fully? would battery deliver 3.6 volt after charging? If left long enough would it charge fully?

Wave Soldering Upflow

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 06 10:25:28 EDT 2003 | mleber

Thanks to all who have responded. The boards we are waving are approximately 14X14. SMT bottomside, lots of Dips topside, M39014 caps, and a variety of resistors and diodes. Lead to hole ratio looks good. Board thickness is .090". Picture frame palle

Re-Reflowing PCB's

Electronics Forum | Mon Oct 13 10:30:49 EDT 2003 | markhoch

PCB is 12.25" x 4". There are large MOSFETS on the board. Two large Electrolytic Caps. Two Large Multi-Layer Ceramic Caps. 15 C Size Tantalym Caps. A fair number of IC's, (SO-8's, SO-16's). No BGA's or finepitch of any kind. The board is double sided

LED (Ligth Emitting Diode) auto insertion equipment

Electronics Forum | Tue Nov 11 08:08:43 EST 2003 | Chris

Use a Radial lead inserter. you will need 1 head for each different part number you have. the machine cannsert 2.5 $ 5.o mm lead components and 7.5 with special to0ling. For LED you want to use a Radial with the new dual spocket CTA (Component transf
