Don't forget about moisture sensitive devices already on the board if you are reflowing the entire board again. No doubt the other BGA's have been absorbing moisture since the boards were first reflowed. You may have to bake the boards before reflo

Hasl thickness trends

Electronics Forum | Tue Sep 16 10:58:03 EDT 2003 | swagner

I am currently having a discussion with a pcb supplier about inadequate hasl thickness, we are measuring below 40 microinches of hasl when our spec calls for 100 microinches as the minimum. Our supplier came back with the statement the entire indust

Silicone for bonding?

Electronics Forum | Mon Oct 06 18:41:47 EDT 2003 | davef

In addition to our earlier comments, do not be misled into thinking that silicone materials, being rubbery, will transmit shock less. Nothing is farther from the truth. Many silicone rubbers are almost totally incompressible in the short time scale.

Wow, it's amazing what you can achieve with smoke & mirrors! Only joking. Does the original via hole covering solder get put on at the PCB fabrication plant, or by the customer? & Does the entire board get reflowed or do you have a process where ho

Very fishy missing solder paste issue

CLampron, There is no place for PCB thickness in a Mydata program. The board thickness is of no consequence.(As long as the thickness is uniform across the entire board) When you run a program, the Z axis touches the surface of the board to determin

Used Equipment from China

Thank you for the advise. It was not a Fuji machine. I sold quite a few pieces to this dealer, assuming that I would get the same kind of quality in return. I don't like to badmouth anybody particular not an entire country. However, the particular de
