yes you can use lead-free components and/or lead-free solder paste on Sn/Pb PCBs. You do get reliable joints. as already mentioned, it doesn't meet the WEEE and RoHS requirement. Indy

Thanks for all replies. We cleared that our Electrovert machine does not require modifications for leadfree. We are looking for somebody who can modify our EPM 420 ATX machine.

Your 316L stainless steel pot will not contain lead-free solder, over the long term. We'd bet that our solder machine equipment manufacturer will "swap" you a lead-free solder compatable pot for your current pot.
