The general guideline for most PCB manufacturers for PCB thickness tolerance is +/- 10%. Is this documented in an IPC spec? If so which one? Thanks Dave

I think that tolerance of pcb thickness is described in the 1-2-4 of IPC41-01 (Specification for Base Materials for Rigid and Multilayer Printed Boards Supercedes IPC-L-108, L-109, L-112, L-115, AM-361). Good reading,

Design parameters are based on tallest components on the bottom side of the PCB. The smallet the component the thinner the floor thickness can be.

I saw a post from last year that quoted Hadco. For a .062" thick PWB, the remaining material was .012" +/- .002". This is close to what we have been using, but some PwB vendors are now asking for .020" +/-.005". This seems too thick for smooth bre

Does anyone have PCB thickness recomendations for .8 &1.0mm pitch bga's?

Hi, Does anybody know what is the minimum gold plating thickness on the PCB goldfinger required by the industrial specifications - IPC, Bellcore, etc. Where can I find the information? Appreciate for the help! Thanks, Tony

Guys, If there are any specifications or ciriterions for solder paste deposition thickness and volume evaluation. For example, QFP (0.5 mm pitch), 6~8 mils, 3000 mil^3 PLCC: 8~10 mils, ... . . Thanks in advance. Best Regards,

Not as such. Look at IPC-7525 Stencil Design Guidelines The issues are: area and aspect ratios. They relate the size of the aperture opening to the thickness of the stencil. Check the fine SMTnet Archives for guidelines.

How do you assure you "have squeegee pressure and speed controlled"? Search the fine SMTnet Archives for background on measuring paste thickness.

0402 Adhesive printing is possible with thicker stencils in order to allow mixed component technology. We have successfully printed 0402's with a 0.008" thick SS foil. Total material release is not achievable at this thickness, but not required u
