Hi. I am looking for information on recommended storage conditions (temperature & humidity) for components, bare boards, and finished circuit board assemblies. Does anyone know of some published specifications or guidelines? Thanks, Mike.

I've been storing some boards in my computers and equipment now for about 17 yrs with many different types of ambient conditions. Everything is still working. Keep finished goods in an ESD bag and dust them off once in awhile.

Squeegee pressure or height, snap off, the age and/or condition of the paste and the condition/cleanliness of the stencil are about all I can come up with, unless you got a new stencil and you changed the design parameters or they made it wrong.

Thanks all for your replies. I ended up getting an older second hand machine (2003 Heller 1707 EXL) from a local company upgrading their assembly line. It is in mint conditions and was used in air conditioned room and had maintenance every 3 months.

Roni: Ron gives good advice on the thickness of your Electroless Nickel - Immersion Gold (ENIG) solderability preservative. Several additional comments are ENIG: More expensive than OSPs and HASL. Much flatter surface than HASL, similar to OSP
