Dunno about 310M flux, but I share your concerns about CU56. You might rethink your selection of solderability perservative, because Enthone: * CU56 allows one thermal cycle. * CU106A allows three thermal cycles. Good luck Dave F

Info on OSP PCBs

Electronics Forum | Fri Jun 01 12:23:22 EDT 2001 | medernach

I've had good and bad experiences with OSP's. First of all, ask yourself, "Why use an OSP?" If you don't need it, don't use it. Solderability is dependent upon the number of thermal passes (the fewer, the better), the thickness of the coating, the

Entek is Enthone's OSP [organic solderability protection]. It is widely used in the PCB fabrication business. Imidazole (Via Systems) is good, but is not as widely available. Search the fine SMTnet Archive on: * OSP * Entek CU-56, Entek Plus CU-10

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 17 12:03:46 EDT 2001 | davef

We knew theyd make you use those boards, didnt we? Your boss could be correct, but then again, you might get away with baking. Entek coating thickness is often poorly controlled by fabricators. But if sample boards that you ran are OK, why not g
