Thank you Russ for the information. One more clarification- I found that the %metal content in lead free paste is in the range of 88-89.5 whereas %metal content in Sn-Pb paste was 90% in general. What is the reason behind this reduction of %metal co

Yes nano coating giving the good printing, but the stencil tension is very important for the life, 1st ensure the stencil tension...

I've spoken with a number of Engineers about this subject and there didn't seem to be a consensus number. In my own experience, I found that we were replacing the stencils after approximately 30,000 print strokes. In my predictive maintenance spreads

Of course I forgot to mention that the number will vary based on the type and thickness of stencil that you're using, type of squeegees, board support, print pressure, and speed.

Well the stencil in question have shield components. And this stencil sometimes doesn't even reach 10,000 strokes. As compared with stencil that does not have shield components, the life span seems to be lesser considering that same squeegee, print pr

We want to get a process running to print paste with a thicker plastic stencil with some room left underneath for preassembled components. I know DEK offers these stencils but since we are using an MPM printer they don't want to sell to us stencils f

Reading the original post.. Floyd, do you remember the old overhead projectors back before we had the new fancy video projectors? Just get a clear sheet of that plastic and print your outline on that. Put that sheet over the stencil and presto, you

Sould anyone explain me pros and cons of stencil and screen printing and the advantages of using a screen printing over stencil printing

Simple differences. Both processes require a very similar machine platform, controlled motion, vision fiducial recognition and alignment of a substrate (PCB or hybrid ceramic) to the "image", the image being either a stencil (hence stencil printing)
