Me too. Check out this months Circuits Assembly. Dage has an interesting article about voiding as a function of surface plating....

1. Don't use a PCB for calibration because the tactile sensor have to free to touch the bottom side of stencil. 2. The wiper is option, the function can be disable in the setup menu.

Dave, youre probably looking for a bar-code tracking system. Mydata actually has this function built into their software. You can search by part number and it will tell you even across multiple machine if your share info.

I've seen 2 types from China, one type was an amazing copy (Fuji supplier's factory back door possibly?) and the other was a cheap copy. The cheap copy was adequately functional, but I wouldn't want to bet on it's long term life.

From what I have read so far the temps are, if not close to being the same for both alloy formulas. Preheat is a function of flux activation and thermal shock. Solder temp varies from place to place. Russ

Welcome to the forum. Yes, there is a wide range of equipment types that can be used to measure the function of components after the board is assembled. Look here for test: http://circuitsassembly.com/bguide/

Have you considered engineering a new board with the same form fit and function? It might be easier than reverse engineering the board. But then you did say it was a DOD contract, so I guess that might mean all kinds of hassle to prove a "new" board

Hello, In my case, the time in change the feeders it's not priority. My production it's very changing, variable, and very little batchs, it's because I select this type of machine, but Assembleon says the same about their machines. What's beeter?, no

Hi Hoss, Thanks for your reply. Yes I am seeing the flux flood over to the top surface of my board, so to an extent I am not concerned with the fluxer. I believ that the foam fluxer is functioning adequately.
