VIA HOLES ON SOLDER PAD

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 06 22:20:32 EDT 2002 | Computer

I do agree and try to "Curb" the commercialism as best as can. I always try to address the needs on a non-bias point. If I can help in any way by all means let me know. In the mean time I will keep my plugs to off line conversation while adddin

We run into that issue all the time. If a corrective action must be done right away. Place Kapton tape on the bottom side of the board to cap off the via. If you have room to place tape if not use pink lady or something to plug the via. And weathe

Sand is not a great conductor, compared to copper. Never heard of using the stuff on RF boards. Our board fabricator uses Dupont CP100, now CP101, [or something like that cuse who's going to check?] when plugging via on cheap boards. Your board fa

Blocking stencil apertures (on purpose)

Solder in via holes causing printing problems

Electronics Forum | Thu Jan 06 16:11:07 EST 2005 | Chunks

It appears your board house is having a problem with the solder resist (mask). From the couple pix it appear that the holes are being plugged by the mask, so your HASL is not able to be blown out during the hot knife process. Time to call your boar
