Its a vitronics, with a little proper maintenance it'll go on forever! If it's a 610, you should have 6heating en 1 cooling zone btw.

immersion ...easily changes color.. See that's the GREAT thing about immersion coatings. If they change color, they probably will not solder well. Try that with other coatings.

Try Seho http://www.seho.de/index.php?id=2〈=en . At one time they had a machine that ran at near 0% oxygen (all nitrogen)that would solder without flux.

I would look at SST International and Sikama International. You might solder using forming gas. Forming gas is 10% hydrogen and 90% nitrogen or 8% hydrogen and 92% nitrogen. Chris

Looks like a time/temperature problem to me. However, there are a lot of solder fines surrounding the pads in one photo that go beyond what I'd expect from inadequate TAL. Is it possible that the board was misprinted and not completely cleaned, or

Personally, I think that the EU got the order backwards with ROHS and WEEE. They should exempt Pb (in electronics) from ROHS until there is a comparable alternative, and enforce WEEE to keep consumer electronics from our landfills. But that's just me

1 um". Some PCB manufacturer is telling me that this specification is not feasible in production. I would know if this position is due to the equipment (or process control) they have, or if in effect is not possible to satisfy my requests.

Try add a pre-heater. If not change the process or the machine. With KISS you will hardly get any PCB to work properly.
