In the design stages, we have been asked about the difficulty in soldering a 4AWG (stranded) wire to a PCB for a high current application. Questions - can this be hand soldered normally? What about wave? Process will probably be Pb-Free. All opinions

Here's what we suggest: * Keep a 5-mm space between a board edge and a ceramic capacitor. * Mount the capacitor parallel relative to the edge. * Design pads about a half of the termination. * Fixture the board when using your pizza cutter.

I have purchased Asys conveyors for the last 3 lines I have installed, and have been very happy w/them; they are a little pricey but extremely well designed. And we also use the RTV trick for securing the conveyor feet - very effective. ts
