Have been seeing a pretty fair amount ourselfs. it seems to come and go. Couple of questions 1. Are the parts shifting to one side during reflow? 2. is it true non wetting to the component? I have been experimenting with different pad geometries a

DoE on post-reflow PCB - warp

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 27 17:24:17 EDT 2002 | Daan Terstegge

Never did a DOE on that, but I think it would be quite difficult to warp a board inside the oven if it was flat when it entered the machine. If there's no center-board support then it's another story, then the board will bend due to it's own weight.

Hi James If I understood you correctly, you have this problem also but you acknowledge its not the component vendor making the mistake it is purchasing not ordering soon enough in the right package or accepting whatever they can get. I would think

Fog Test

Never heard of flux residues forming a lense. The first thing that comes mind when thinking about your 'fog test' is: Ionic Contamination While this seems pretty far afield from your interest in optical effects, I'll continue briefly. A reverse
