Min spacing for land patterns from PCB edge

Electronics Forum | Wed Mar 19 09:54:44 EDT 2008 | davef

Here's what we suggest: * Keep a 5-mm space between a board edge and a ceramic capacitor. * Mount the capacitor parallel relative to the edge. * Design pads about a half of the termination. * Fixture the board when using your pizza cutter.

SMT Connecting Conveyors

I have purchased Asys conveyors for the last 3 lines I have installed, and have been very happy w/them; they are a little pricey but extremely well designed. And we also use the RTV trick for securing the conveyor feet - very effective. ts

Wouldn't it be nice if all components and packaging were standardized. Some ignaramous that has never done any production work is designing the component and has not a clue what it is like in the real world of manufacturing. Is there an answer to the

SOT Solder Problem

Electronics Forum | Fri Sep 12 09:43:13 EDT 2008 | grics

This question maybe more for myself than SWAG, but, could this be a DELTA problem caused by design? (Ground Plane) One side of the component reflows later causing the component to twist???

Is the demand for in-circuit testing still high for PCBA?

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 07 23:09:25 EDT 2008 | dlocampo

As the pcb design is getting smaller and smaller, do you think that in-circuit testing is still applicable considering its limitations?
