Yea, in past lives I'd line up as many reels of the high usage parts as possible for gang picking, but now that I'm on ASM it just wants a single reel of each part and it chews through that.

I never said ASM wouldn't take more than one reel of the same PN per gantry, just that during optimization it generally doesn't call for more than one reel of the same PN per gantry.

I would also look into un-reeling and re-reeling them. Might be tricky, but no less tricky than trying to rotate them with a machine I imagine.

The cover tape that seals the parts into the reels on our feeders always uncovers a few parts (up to ten 0805 parts) before the part can be picked. So removing a partial reel always results in the loss of a few parts. Putting a partial reel back on

Hello everyone. I'm looking for some general information on reel counters. We are trying to tighten our inventory counts, and rather than estimate a reel we're looking into getting an accurate count via a reel counter. So first, I'm wondering what

Thank you for your response and interest to help me with my research work. I am actually in need of the Reel Holder. I am aware of a few services that can package the treated 0402 / 0201 components into a tape and reel. I have also spoken to MidAm

If there are parts "non-identifiable" then you don't know their cost. Parts under a certain cost you don't worry about. That leaves only category "A" parts to concern yourself with. Know your attrition rates especially for parts over a certain cos
