We are currently considering purchasing a Quad 4c. Any recomendations or discouragements for this machine? All comments will be greatly appreciated.

From personal experience with 4c's: run away as fast and as far away from them as you can. These will bring you nothing but grief.

I have run the 4Cs for over 8 years it has been a good little machine. We use it for placing 10 mil pitch flip chips. I buy the yearly insurance through Tyco every year.

I am trying to program a Juki KP620 and KE730 offline. I am looking for the file syntax for .P5A and .G2C files. Is there is anyone who can help me with this. Thanks

I actually want to bypass Juki's EPU. I know the syntax is proprietary but I'm sure someone has done something with these machines.

Well, I wish I was a programmer and be able to de-code binary files. If you can come up with something, please let me know. Thanks, Frank

Try to get ahold of Zevatech's "Flex Program". It will convert an ASCII file into the Zevatech Binary format. I understand they don't charge much for this - if it is even still available.

We are trying to understand if there are proceeding or whitepapers which document the cost differential of the electroforming process for stencil vs. other methods. And what the related benefits are. Our center for advanced technology is trying to

Electroformed stencils cost about twice as much as other stencils, but they to have better paste release characteristics than laser cut stencils.
