De Haart printer expert

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 10 14:45:06 EST 2004 | patthemack

I have an old De Haart printer that has a problem. It will not reset either the z axis or the squeegee. The z axis just gyrates, and I think it's trying to get to the zero position, which is all the way down, but it's already down. Is there a De Haar

PCB Supports

We use them on our DEK printers. They have worked out very well. The only thing we had to do was make a push down bar so we could push all the pins down and lock them. This makes setting up the blocks much easier; board is fixtured, pins released

Securing components for wave soldering

Try spraying flux on top of the loaded PWB when you put it on the conveyor. The tackiness of the flux does a pretty fair job of keeping the axial leaded parts down to the board. This takes more cleaning, but it has worked wonders for me on assemblies

Reball BGA process flow

Electronics Forum | Thu Jul 07 17:59:58 EDT 2005 | russ

I have found that if you place it "upside down" with the paper on the bottom they work very well also. The paper has a tendency to warp during heating which causes the no connects. by adding flux to the preform you are essentially sticking the pref

ING, If my memory is correct: -This is from the large air cylinder below the X/Y table moving slow or not getting down all of the way. -The air cylinder has a sensor for when it's down all of the way. - This sensor could be bad but most of the t

Have you checked the placement height? it will need to be set down to about 0.5mm - 0.6mm, whereas you can get away with 0.9mm for 0603. Not a Panasonic expert but I've seen this nearly every time a customer has taken the step down. Cheers, Rob.

shut down for storms

Are any of you shutting down all manufacturing machines when a thunderstorm approaches? My company is/has been doing this forever and tell me it's to protect the machines. I could see doing it to protect boards in the machines (except we have battery

if your company would loose millions by shutting down during every storm, then you should invest 100k$ in a standby generator big enough to feed the whole plant. We did this and the generator paid itself off after a couple of blackouts. Plus, when yo

SAMSUNG nozzles

The ends of the nozzles look flattened. I haven't measured the total length yet to see if it is in tolerance or not. That is for tomorrows "to do" list as well as calling tech support. When I slow the machine speed down and watch what is happening I

System is too slow, Will memory/speed increase do job?

Electronics Forum | Sun Jun 26 04:08:40 EDT 2005 | fastek

If you have a virus protection software in place it is likely slowing your system down to a crawl. Disable it and see if your results are better. You can also do a ctrl+alt+del. Go to "Processes" and take a look at what is bringing down your speed. H
