What pressure is recommended to clean AMT boards after reflow

That's my Typo... couldn't figure out how to fix it. It should read SMT -boards with lots of SMT parts, including PBGA. I'll be more specific next time.... Thanks for the replies.. Carol

External Factors to be controlled during assembly

what factors should be monitored and controlled during assembly of components on PCBs and their storage? Temperature and humidity seem obvious. Should one also watch out for any particular gases that may cause oxidation? Or dust?

BGA's shorting

Without seeing your X-ray, it sounds like your BGAs are out gassing. This casues the situation you described. Try baking some BGAs and run them along with ones not baked to see.

This is a GREAT question!!!! Our process is similar, but our times are greater. Guess it's all dependant on the pressure on the pipe, eh? The faster money goes flying out the window, the less time there is for nicities.

Solder Mask Specification

It's usually up to the board house. They use their lines to make a variety of other customers boards and never want to be locked into using a special mask. I'd task your QC department to catch and return these boards. That usually straightens out

Parts on Bottom during top reflow

Does anybody know how I work out how heavy a part I can have on the bottom side of the board while reflowing top. Obviously there is a tie between the footprint in the paste and the surface tension of solder paste, but what is it ?
