I agree that is a good idea. However, I wonder if there is enough activity to warrant new forums (wave solder and/or through hole)? I did searches for wave solder and through hole over the past 90 days and found 38 and 12 posts respectively out of 9

Mant, we are reliably replacing BGAs of all sizes and pitches on ENIG. The black pad is not something created through rework, but a defect that the PCB has from the very beginning. Ioan

Kester recommends that we store our 1400 gm tubes on the tip. Our documentation is based on their recommendation. The Alpha past we used was stored horizontally, but that was because the flux readily separated from the metal.

Brad, I sell both machines on the used market. If you buy the proper oven for your use you should be very happy with either. Both companies are very reputible and responsive when you have problems.
