Spray fluxers: Where does the excess flux [that does not glomb on the board] go after being sprayed at the board? How do various spray fluxers [wave solder machines] route used flux differently?

Do the in/out board sensors on reflow solder machine work well? Can they be relied on or do they cause needless alarms? What has been your experience?

I am curious what the identifications tags actually do. bar code, p/n etc. Are they for in process use or do they ship with the board. Why a tag rather than printing the info on the board.

Need some info regarding the terms and conditions of drying bare boards before the assy. process (if need it at all). We encountered latly with delimination in some boards and I'm not sure that it is a product failure.

First, we have talked about drying / baking / demoisturizing / whatevering bare board previously. Search the fine SMTnet Archives to get started on recipes. Second and more importantly, you gotta fix this delamination problem. If it is delaminatio

I'm told that the Contact Systems machines we have will are set up so that if you put a sticker over the fiducial it will skip that board on the panel. I think the machine might prompt the operator that it can't find the fiducial and the operator te

Chris, What's the board finish? HASL? What's the frequency of solder beading, like how many joints soldered exhibit these solder beads- percentage wise. Are the boards clean- nobody is touching them with greasy fingers? We need more clues.
