The shorts happen at corner of the BGA. The PCB thickness is 1.6mm, It is a PC motherboard with all thru hole connectors mounted on.The preheating is done using IR heater and the temp is 120-160 for about 70-80 sec.I am using ERSA IR550A

Make sure the coupling that connects the motor to the rolex shaft is tight. Also make sure that there is no oil or grease on the rolex shaft.

Thanks for the offer. However, I do not have access to the gerbers as I am only a low level personnel running the SMT line. I'll probably try and win approval for the purchase of a MOLE or datalogger and go from there. Thanks all.

I know this response comes late, but my advice is to get your paste supplier in for some good profiling time before you decide how to do your own. My paste supplier will come in on a moments notice if I need them.
