Like Dave said, you need to use an acid solution. This is what is used prior to HASL. You will think I am crazy but you can use vinegar or even catsup/ketchup. The acetic acid will clean the oxidation. Just rinse the board off before using.

These boards had solder mask issues, where manufecter took the boards and said he will rework them. All boards has the same problems as in the picture attached. We rejected the boards, but still I appriciate an explanation what can go wrong if I us

Like robdg3 said, just check your paste spec and define your reflow profile accordingly. There should not be any major difference in reflow profile due to PCB finish.

Yes, we use solder paste,solder bar and solder wire from different manufactureres for 1PCB assembly. And, what JAX said, we never mixed solder paste from different manufactures and used.

I don't believe it is the RAM. As I said, both are doing it and we are using the recommended amount of RAM for these systems. The video card is an interesting suggestion however. I will look into it.

Not an easy question to answer with out seeing the board. There is selective soldering, gluing, maybe a wave soldering pallet. As DaveF said since your asking the question I would assume your shops expertise is limited.

waste of time - get your materials manager to work on the smt floor for a week and see how ridiculous this approach is! saving pennies while adding time between setups, looking for parts and as you said issues with pickup etc....

We are using Nitrogen from Dewer tanks. We have purchased a generator from On-Site gas that we will be installing in 2 weeks. I guess Nitrogen purity could be an issue, but the company that sells us Nitrogen said it is five 9s (99.999%)
