Hoping somebody may be able to help recommending a source of educational video demonstrating the principles behind PCB manufacture, component pick and place and smt. Any help would be appreciated. D Meek

Hopefully this is not a stupid questions but, if you are printing low tech surface mount boards, is it possible to print through a mesh screen versus a stencil? Isn't that the way it used to be done? Like soldermask only stainless steel versus polyes

I think your words are paraphrasing a "last stand" speech by another famous Custer. Let's hope the result is not the same.

Looking in my DEK 265 LT manual, frame size external is 29 by 29 by 1.6 in. 26 by 26 internal, and printing to within side of frame = 75 mm.Hope this helps.

Hi Paul, One way but it slows down the process, is to get fixturing pallets made. You can usually get a universal fixture made for anywhere from $185-225USD. Hopefully this can help. Sincerely, Zack Schmad

Check out Indium Solder. They have an evaluation board "from Hell"!!! I believe they sell it for eval purposes...will supply cad data for stencil as well as pcb's for print test. I was stunned at the complexity. Hope this helps

Id also like to know how this is possible. I am skeptical and would venture to say that it only looks clean but actually is not. Hopefully I am wrong and tests show there is actually no residue so we can save lots of $$$ here. Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the info. How clean can wave soldering get? We are looking at a carrier that masks off most of the board when we run it through the wave, so hopefully this works. Regards, Grant Blackmagic Design
