Don't you just love those good ole MPM printers? Don't worry they hate us too.

"Switch the gender switch to M if you are female, or F if male. " Never had an MPM but I've heard some of the modern iterations have a "T" position, in which case you'd be screwed. Oh, wait....

Pin In Paste IPC Guidelines

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 03 15:57:38 EST 2007 | realchunks

Is there a seperate guideline for Pin In Paste process in IPC? I have IPC610 year 2000 rev C (I know rev D is out). Or do most people use the thruough hole part of the Guideline as their criteria?

UP2000 with grid-lok question

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 23 13:10:10 EST 2007 | jax

This is something a DFM should catch. Best Option: Add Break-Away rails to the board. Worst Option: Buy a true on-contact printer... (normally referred to as the Y-Snugger option)

UP2000 with grid-lok question

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 23 13:15:44 EST 2007 | stepheniii

Shouldn't the top of the board be at the exact same height as the top of the side clamps? Why are the clamps holding the stencil up off the board?

What exactly do you mean by "side clamps"? If you mean the thin strips of metal that the board is pushed up against, they are adjustable. Maybe a little more squeege force or down stop also.

Turn off Grid-Lok, turn off side clamps. Use hand inserted tooling (yeah, you may have to do some thinking here)for support. If you have vacuum, turn it on. People still use Grid-Lok?

UP2000 with grid-lok question

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 24 13:25:26 EST 2007 | pr

Grid-lok only supports the board, so why would what I suggested defeat the purpose of the grid-lok? You still falling down when you mark your golf ball, Tyrone?????
