yes you can use lead-free components and/or lead-free solder paste on Sn/Pb PCBs. You do get reliable joints. as already mentioned, it doesn't meet the WEEE and RoHS requirement. Indy

We're getting an error on our CP643 that we can't seem to make sense of. It's a D1 axis error, but we're only getting it when we run a feeder on device 140. Any advice would be appreciated.

I guess it will be the size of the feeder on that position (Perhaps you're using a 12x8 or 16x8)

I go with hot air. If that isn't possiable than I would say run a test. Reflow one board and see what happens. If it gose bad all the through-hole might have to be taken out. Let us know how it gose. Megan

From what I have read so far the temps are, if not close to being the same for both alloy formulas. Preheat is a function of flux activation and thermal shock. Solder temp varies from place to place. Russ

If the Leds are not in close proximity then LDR's can be used connected to a node on the ICT/wired into a micro for a simpler board - you can then test for luminous intensity as well as absence. Else you could use a cheap CCD camera with some simple

Following are my queries : 1. How actually the process of electrofoam Stencil preparation? 2. How N2 Helps for Leadfree soldering ? 3. Does Ultrasonic Cleaning process affects the internal bonding of IC ?

3) Not usually a problem on IC's, however on certain crystal/frequency products there have been issues with harmonics causing damage. Also would not like to speculate what would happen with the new ranges of MEM's silicon sensors. Cheers, Rob.
