Thanks, davef. We have one that is 0.015" (edge of trace to edge of board) so that might be risky.

This board was designed in-house so I was able to get the engineering to move the trace in to a safe distance from the board edge. I think we're good to go.

Hi John, If you are wicking very high o components, try speeding up your conveyor speed slightly. A few inches per minute will not change your profile much and may get rid of this problem.

We buy a years worth of the 3M stuff and attatch the cost to a new customer. Guess there could be new and improved stuff out there, but without customer service, who's gonna buy it? Easier to go with what works. What's a "yin"?

"Yins" means "yall." It could be "yinz" also. Look here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=yins

But in the REAL world where the part hits the board, all the software in the world can't predict part size descrepancy, polarity descrepancy, thickness error, or board tollerance errors.

Well....I think you can also thank the Chinese and their unbridled appetite for anything metal. It's not only Tin.

Fastek, I just take every opportunity to point out the nonsense of lead-free. In todays assembly environment the exempt military and hi-rel products are manufactured cheaper than lead-free consumer products. Now does this make any sense to you?
