Tin Whisker Testing

Hi, I have a very basic question for tin whisker testing. Do I thermal cycle/age the Components only or solder them to a ckt board and then thermal cycle/age the PCB assembly??

You do not need to buy any special cable for this purpose. Fuji normally has 2 pins connector attached at the end of each equipment. Now if you do not have those connectors, you can just buy some 2 to 4 conductor cable from your local electronic supp

Hi We have BGA sockets that are soldered on our PCB which required cleaning? Anyone have any solution as for now we just use compress air jet to clean it. We found this is not effective in the long run. Any comment?

Hi could be relaited to the thermal mass of the screw/bolt. if there is no intermatalic formed and the solder just picks off id say this is likely. the hot wave hits the cold screw and cools the solder enought to leave some behind??
