Hello Sean, We are currently using a Pin in Paste process to mount some through hole relays. This particular board has 72 relays per. We have cut the stencil to overprint the hole. By putting a small amount of solder in the hole to flux the lead, th

Hi All, I was wondering if any of you have any ideas on what is the optimum angle for the conveyor to pass over the waves on a leaded wave machine ? Any input would be greatly appriciated. Regards Darron

If your wave machine has the new style Rotary Chip Wave and the Hot Air De-Bridging Knife options you can expect good yields. However, depending on the PCB design, double-sided solderpaste reflow and selective solder pallets for wave solder is a bett

6 deg is std angle. Some machines have option to adjust angle from 5 to 7. Maybe yours does. If you have an Electrovert wave machine you can get the Omega option. This option vibrates the wave to reduce surface tension. It does a nice job on rectangu

Sure KA, it's done every day. Be sure that the components to be used on the bottom can take the maximum heat of the wave and the delta T of entering the wave. Depending how complex the bottom side is you will get better results with attention paid

Larry: I've got extensive experience with solder skips on both 0603 and SOT23 devices. We also installed an "Omega" vibrating wave on our machine, but it didn't really have an impact on solder skips. The major difference that the omega makes is in

Re: Wave Solder Dwell Time

Hi Guys, Ive seen your notes on Wave dwell times, we have been doing lots of test across many styles of wave machines. The most inportant thing to understand is that your dwell time does vary across the wave, it can vary as much as 2 to 5 secs from
