Water Soluble vs. No Clean

Electronics Forum | Thu May 04 08:57:19 EDT 2006 | Chunks

I knew it. That's why you can never show us parts of your facility. Plus the fact that all lost socks from the dryer end up in your facility too. We all know that's how no-clean was invented.

0201 feeders

What kind of Tyco machine?? If its a Q-series you need to have a feeder that has photo sensors across the top to index the next part. There are things you can do to make the machine pick up parts at a better percentage.

Is a Juki feeder a stand alone unit or does it need to communicate with the assembler ? I can operate a Quad feeder just by hooking it up to a proper voltage source. No need to communicate with a computer. If the Juki's will operate this way maybe I

Strangely enough I'm in the process of getting measured up for my Crocodile Dundee hat.

Solder joint issue

Good post WML! you helped a lot!, Chunks brings up good point. Are there vias that can be shorted by this component being slightly misaligned? When reworking there could be residual solder or even flux that has shorted the pads or component, etc.

MyData Placement Accuracy

My own research and theoretical systems modeling firm up my conclusions regarding MyData as the logical choice to optimally place electronics componentry to great economies of scale. I welcome any refutes to this conclusion in this competetive consu

Ken, It is much easier for this thing to leave the forum than back up its BS. I am sure we will get another Dr superstar very shortly. And a Mrs. Superstar to agree with it.

This sure doesn't look very healthy. The important things to know are A) You see this already right after reflow B) Is this showing up after the board has been in use for a while If you could answer these questions we could take it a step further. P

Come on guys......Guru and Shocker are the same guy and he is a troll (someone who simply wants to stir up the pot by making outrageous comments). By ignoring him...he will go away. Replying to him is like throwing gasoline on a fire.

Flux Compatibility Issues....

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 08 08:55:47 EDT 2006 | russ

Why would a "Wave Master" require an engineer to set up his machine? How could a wave master misunderstand mixing flux types with squirting the same flux on the top of a board? I am losing my confidence in Wave Master Larry! Russ
