Our latest designs are flip chip on flex based and we have issues with delamination/blistering. We know it is related to our vapor solvent (n-Propyl Bromide based) attacking an inner layer adhesive. Has anyone else ever heard of something like this?

Not now, Valor may under develop the module for its Trilogy 5000 with the stencil aperture based on the rules which you set. Also, check with IRI stencil (Alpha), they have a s/w and based on using ODB++ file and not Gerber. Rgds.

Assembleon has/had a service engineer based in Portland. I haven't worked for them for about 3 years so I can't verify if he is still there. They also have a few guys based in Northern Cal.

There are some web-based and LAN-based training programs on lead free SMT manufacturing at the Automated Learning Systems web site. These are pretty good resources. BWET
